Submit a progress report

An archival manuscript or published-paper link is required for every new progress report. Add the source and a short description of what it reports. Listing a report does not certify correctness or automatically change the problem's status; the maintainer team retains the final right to interpret and determine Solved/Unsolved.

The maintainers document sources, context, and attribution. They do not review proofs. Preprints need not have passed peer review. Earlier GitHub research reports remain linked in the existing Progress panel. Read the research progress policy.

The source must contain the research described in your summary. A DOI for software or data alone, an unrelated paper, or a repository home page does not qualify.

Title, manuscript authors, date, and version where available. Distinguish the authors from yourself if you are reporting someone else's work.

The theorem, section, or page containing the reported result.

A direct link to an issue or comment in this project's repository; it supplements the archival source.

Use the specific manuscript or paper record, not a home page. For a legitimate archive or publisher not yet supported, request source support with the paper link and citation. A support request does not submit the research report.

Report summary

Up to 1,500 characters. Describe what the source reports and how it concerns this problem, or explain the relevance of the earlier GitHub report. Do not paste a proof.

Use $\operatorname{Tr}(\rho)=1$ for inline math and $$ on separate lines for display math. Prefer explicit norms: $\lVert A\rVert_\infty$. Type one backslash per command; drafts and inbox submissions keep your TeX. Copy for GitHub protects formulas from Markdown and adapts operator names. Put code examples inside backticks or fenced code blocks.
